Program 3 Hyde Park Angels Entrepreneurial Education Series

In Program III of its Entrepreneurial Education Series, Hyde Park Angels presented “Connecting Corporations and Startups” on Thursday, September 24, 2015. BreakingVoices.com broadcasted the event live at 1871 Chicago’s largest business technology incubator.

The third program in the series included a panel of experts: David Weinstein, Founder/Managing Partner, Freshwater Advisors Jacob Babcock, Co-Founder/CEO, NuCurrent Rob Diebold, Strategic Business Development Manager, Molex Julie Szudarek, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Groupon Daily Deals Rumi Morales, Executive Director: Strategic Investment Group, CME Group Hardik Bhatt, Chief Information Officer, State of Illinois

The panelists discussed working with corporations and how whether as a client, partner, or strategic investor they can help you significantly grow your business. Hear from successful entrepreneurs and the industry experts they work with to learn:

  • Whether you should build client, partner, or strategic investor relationships
  • How to build corporate relationships
  • Successful examples of corporate relationships
  • How will a strategic partnership help or hurt your business
  • How to secure investment capital from a Fortune 500 company
  • How to manage the sales process to close your first big deal

In Program II in June, panelists introduced entrepreneurs to options for funding other than investment.
